El Foro Económico Mundial cuantifica la magnitud de las disparidades de género y registra su progreso a lo largo del tiempo, centrándose específicamente en las diferencias relativas entre mujeres y hombres en cuatro esferas clave: la salud, la educación, la economía y la política.
El Informe de 2016 que abarca 144 países revela que el progreso es todavía demasiado lento para desarrollar todo el potencial de la mitad de la humanidad.
Es muy interesante descubrir cómo el Estado español (aquí el informe completo) está en el puesto 29, por debajo de Ruanda, por ejemplo, que ocupa el puesto número 5, Filipinas, Eslovenia, Nicaragua, Burundi, Namibia, Mozambique, Bolivia, etc…
